Dr. N. Gaitenidis
Mr. Nikolaos Gaitenidis is a doctorate researcher at the department of International and European Studies. His PhD research focuses on the promotion and protection of cultural diversity in the European Union. He holds a BA in International and European, Economic and Political Studies (University of Macedonia) and an MA in European Law (Law School of Athens). The title of his master thesis is “The Role of Civil Society in the European Union”. He is a committed lifelong learner.
He also gained research experience during his internship at the Directorate of Studies of the Hellenic Parliament.
Currently, he provides research services for the Jean Monnet Chair
“New Dimensions on EU Legal Studies’’, and was a researcher for the Jean Monnet Action “New Challenges in the Dynamics of the EU Integration Process’’. He has considerable experience in the organization of international and regional academic events.
His research interests and respective publications focus on the EU and international protection of human rights, citizenship rights, identity politics, culture and law, equality and non discrimination.
He has experience in the successful submission of European research programs. He is a member of the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy Institute for Cultural Diplomacy- ICD (Berlin), and the Greek Society of Labor Law and the Social Security EDEK.
