Anastasia Psallida holds a degree of the School of Greek Philology (Classical direction) of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1995) and an MA degree of the Department of Ethics and Sociology of the Theological School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, (specialisation “Sociology” – 2013). Her MA thesis was titled “Modern Immigration Flows-Social and Educational Policies for Returnees in Greece” (Excellent). She is a high school teacher since 2003 and a certified trainer in EKEPIS for adult training. 

She has received further training in Greece and abroad on educational policy, European affairs, the role of UN, e-learning, global education, and she has been trained on the Handbook of Education on human rights for young people (Compass – Council of Europe), eTwinning and the EU programme “Teachers for Europe – Setting an Agora for Democratic Culture”. She participated in international, European and national programs or missions, herself as an individual or as a coordinator of groups of high school students in events like Intercultural Society, International Olympiad for Philosophy, European Parliament Ambassadors School Programme, UNESCO Associated Schools Network  (ASPNet),  “Students in the role of Diplomat”, World Cultural Heritage Youth Symposium, 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

She also participates in conferences and in summer schools or online courses on human rights, migration and refugees, Sustainable Development. She also assists the editing of books at the University and coordinates the editing of books by high school students.Since February 2020 she is a PhD researcher at the University of Macedonia working on “The role of the EU in intercultural education and the elimination of hate speech – comparison with other international organisations”.
