UNESCO has launched an unprecedented global public survey in order to better understand the major challenges the world is facing and the solutions to overcome them, in line with the achievement of the
Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 and beyond.

In a rapidly changing global context, with increasingly urgent, vital and global
challenges, it is essential to rethink UNESCO’s actions and programmes to adapt
them to the contemporary world. Your voices are essential for us to adapt our
programmes to guide the world towards peace over the next ten years.

This survey is being launched at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic has caused
profound upheavals in our societies. There is an urgent need to reflect together on
the world that will emerge from the crisis and how we will respond to contemporary
challenges such as climate change, violence, inequalities and emerging
technologies.
